You can use online services like TimeAndDate.com to find various events specific to your country. This website can help you discover upcoming niche ideas for your event blogging.

Once you have found a specific niche for event blogging, I recommend checking Google Trends and Ahrefs Keyword Explorer for more information about that particular niche. These tools can provide valuable insights. You can also use the Website Word Counter tool to count the total number of words in your competitors’ content, so you can easily replicate their success.

For example, let’s say I have chosen a niche related to an Indian festival called “Diwali“. When I searched for “Diwali pics” on Google Trends, I found the following result:

And when I checked the same keyword using Ahrefs, I obtained these results.

When you search for a keyword using both tools, you will notice a similar increase in searches during a specific month. As shown in the Ahrefs screenshot, there was a surge in searches for this keyword, followed by a steady decline to zero.

Similarly, in the first screenshot, the trend for this keyword consistently decreases after the festival month. This suggests that this keyword only receives traffic on a particular day or during a specific month.

By analyzing keyword trends like this, you can make informed decisions when choosing a niche for event blogging. It greatly assists in selecting the right keywords.

EMD domain names are those that exactly match the keywords or topic of your website. Some people believe that having an EMD domain name can improve your website’s ranking on Google.

If you’re unsure, let me assure you that Google still considers EMD domain names when ranking websites. In fact, in many cases, EMD domain names even outrank high-authority domain names. So, if you’re creating a niche-specific event blog, I strongly recommend choosing an EMD domain name.

You can find cheap .COM domain names for just $0.99 on GoDaddy. This is the lowest price you can get for a .COM domain extension.

And when it comes to picking a domain name, if you’re not able to get domains like “happydiwali.com”, I suggest going for a domain name like “happydiwali2024.com” or even “happydiwalipics2024.com”.

Besides choosing a .COM domain name, you can also consider other extensions. However, keep in mind that these domain names will be more expensive compared to the .COM extension.

Another option is to become an Amazon Affiliate. For example, if you’re blogging about an event like “Diwali,” you can use Amazon Affiliate to promote and sell Diwali-related items available on Amazon.

Now, let me share with you a few effective monetization methods that can help you earn a substantial income from your website.

• Google AdSense: One of the best options to monetize your event blogging site. It pays more than any other method. If you can get AdSense approval for your domain, I strongly suggest using this method.
• Amazon Affiliate: Use this method along with Google AdSense to increase your income. During events like Black Friday, people buy a lot online, and using Amazon Affiliate can boost your revenue.
• CJ, ShareASale & Other Affiliates: Promote other affiliate products during events like Black Friday to earn extra commission using these networks. Use these methods with Google AdSense.
• Media.net, InfoLinks, and PushAds: If you can’t get AdSense approval, try using Media.net, Infolinks, and PushAds to monetize your website. However, expect to earn only 10-12% of the revenue compared to AdSense.
