It turns a plain-English description into a complete WordPress site. You say what you want, it asks a couple of follow-up questions, and it generates the pages, layout, copy, images, colours, logo and navigation for you.

## How it actually works (what I did)

The whole flow took me under ten minutes, most of that spent deciding what to type. Here is the sequence.

### Type a prompt
I entered: "Create a tech blog about SEO tips, WordPress tutorials, and digital marketing guides." You sign in with a free account (Google login took about 30 seconds), and the AI starts a short conversation rather than dumping you into a blank editor.

### Answer a couple of questions
It asked for a site title (with suggestions), a short description for search and social, then showed a summary to confirm. Contextual suggestions, not empty fields. This took about 90 seconds.

### Let it generate
A progress panel ticks through buttons, fonts, colours, layout, images and logo. WordPress.com says most sites are ready in under five minutes, and mine was done quickly, dropping me straight into the block editor with a finished design.

### Customise and publish

## What the AI actually generated

This is where it surprised me. From one sentence, it built a genuinely complete site:

- A **navigation bar** (About, Guides, Services, Contact) with four working pages behind it.
- A **hero section** with a headline and call-to-action.
- A **blog feed**, a two-column resources section, an email subscribe form, an About section, a services grid, testimonials with star ratings, a contact page with a map, and a footer.
- A generated **logo** and a blue colour scheme that matched the topic.
- Contextually relevant images (dashboards, notebooks, audit-tool shots), not random stock.

**It was close to publishable.** The one honest caveat: the copy was smart but generic, which is exactly the part you should personalise anyway.

## Can you customise it?

Fully. It is a standard WordPress site, so every block is editable by hand.

**But the faster route is the chat.**

**What I liked:**

**What could be better:**

- **Designs can feel same-y.** It leans on block patterns, so two AI sites can look like cousins.
- **The copy is generic.** Good scaffolding, but it has no voice and the testimonials are placeholders. Rewrite it.
- **It is for new sites only**, and WordPress.com is upfront that it will not build online stores or sites needing complex integrations.
