Here’s the full story behind this acquisition and what it means for you.
The Origin of TheWPX
I originally created TheWPX as a standalone blog dedicated entirely to WordPress. After TheGuideX started gaining traction and I received an acquisition offer worth around 1.2 crores in May 2019 (which I declined), I was motivated to build even more.
TheWPX was my way of giving back to the WordPress community that had helped me achieve so much. The blog covered WordPress tutorials, plugin guides, theme reviews, SEO strategies, and other resources that WordPress users actually needed.
Over time, TheWPX grew into a solid resource on its own, with a loyal readership and hundreds of in-depth articles.
Why I Acquired It Back
As both TheGuideX and TheWPX grew, I realized that having two separate blogs covering overlapping topics was splitting the audience. Readers interested in WordPress were bouncing between both sites, and the content could serve them better if it lived under one roof.
In 2024, I made the decision to acquire TheWPX and merge its best content into TheGuideX. The goal was straightforward — create a single, comprehensive resource instead of two fragmented ones.
What This Means for You
If you were a regular TheWPX reader, nothing is lost. All the important WordPress tutorials, SEO guides, plugin reviews, and other resources that were on TheWPX are now available right here on TheGuideX.
In fact, the combined content library is now stronger than either site was individually. You get:
