TheWPX is now part of TheGuideX
TheWPX was my WordPress blog. TheGuideX is the SEO and web consultancy that same work turned into. This is the short version of how one became the other — and why I stopped running two sites for the same readers.
A WordPress blog I ran solo
Tutorials, plugin and theme guides, hosting and speed notes — more than 200 articles, all of it from problems I was actually solving on my own sites.
An SEO and web consultancy
The same hands-on WordPress and SEO work, but done on clients’ sites — diagnosed, fixed, and built, not written up for an audience.
Why I folded it in
Running two sites for the same audience stopped making sense. The work had moved — from publishing for its own sake to fixing and building real sites for clients. TheWPX belonged under that, not beside it, so in 2024 I closed it as a separate brand and brought it into TheGuideX.
This is not an archive you browse
TheGuideX is a consultancy, not a blog with the lights left on. The point of the merge was not to park 200 old posts somewhere — it was to put the WordPress experience behind them to better use. What is worth keeping is being reworked and folded into the insights, which exist to back the consultancy work, not replace it.
Where that experience lives now
The years of WordPress work behind TheWPX are the foundation under the WordPress development service — builds, speed and security hardening, and WordPress-to-static migrations. The same instinct for what actually breaks a site runs through the technical SEO work too.
